Equine Facilitated Human Development

IFEEL Method

IFEEL Methodology is an evidenced based bio-psycho-social approach of the theoretical methodology and outcomes of Equine Facilitation.

Equine Facilitation is an inter-relational process between sentient beings.

Horses live in the now and are highly sensitive. Being able to detect emotions and intentions, the horse can notice whether the thoughts, words and actions are concurrent with what we are actually feeling.

The horse's simultaneous and honest response can be experienced as a non-judgmental, which may reflect behaviours and actions we were not aware of.

This bio feedback enables us to increase our self-awareness and explore a more authentic perspective.

This approach focuses on development rather than therapy, but it can have a therapeutic outcome.

Equine Facilitated Human Development can help you on your personal journey as well as on your horsemanship journey:

  • Increase self-awareness

  • Explore your authentic self

  • Build self-esteem and confidence

  • Develop a better understanding of emotions and how to regulate them

  • Set appropriate boundaries within yourself, in others and around horses

  • Create more trust in yourself, in others and horses

  • Improve communication skills with others and horses

  • Develop new skills and strategies to achieve goals

  • Learn to listen to your intuition

  • Develop new ways of being

I am now able to offer this service to under 18s (14+).

Equine Facilitated Human Development sessions are held at Whispering Beach, where you get to explore, understand and develop alongside horses.

During the holiday periods I offer 3-5 day EFHD retreats.

I am registered with the BACP- British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and SAFE- Standards for Assisted & Facilitated Equine Professionals.
